The historic site of the Honjin, a government-designated inn for samurai in Shiojiri-shuku, an Edo-period post town, is located in Shiojiri-machi.
永福寺の本尊は737年（天平9年）行基の作と伝わる駒形馬頭観音です。江戸時代の1702年（元禄15年）に、中山道塩尻宿の開設にともない宿場の東端となる現在の場所に移設されました。
Eifukuji Temple: This temple is sacred to Batō Kannon, a deity with a human body and head, adorned with a horse’s head on its crown, whose origins date back to 737.

390 Shiojiri-machi, Shiojiri City, Naganoセイコーエプソン塩尻事業所の原点は、昭和34年（1959）に創業した有限会社塩尻工業となる。昭和36年（1961）に現在のセイコーエプソン株式会社の前身の一つとなる信州精器株式会社と合併した。
The origins of the EPSON Shiojiri Office date back to 1959, when it was established as Shiojiri Kougyou. In 1961, it was merged into Shinshu Seiki Co., Ltd., which later became the present-day Seiko Epson Corp. after merging with Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. in 1985.
